CIS University II Hackathon Edition at CIS University 1

II Hackathon Edition at CIS University

In an increasingly interconnected and dynamic world of work, the skills needed for new jobs have undergone significant change. Soft skills – such as effective communication, teamwork, problem solving and time management – have become critical in today’s competitive environment.

CIS University, in partnership with Next Job, organized this second edition of the Hackathon to enhance these interpersonal skills and establish new links between university education and the business world.

On this occasion, with the assistance of ING Direct as a partner company, participating students were challenged to create a strategy to position the digital bank as the preferred destination for recent graduates with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) backgrounds.

Collaboratively seeking solutions:

The event took place in a collaborative and creative environment, where teams competed simultaneously during a series of challenges designed to meet the objective set by ING Direct.

The prize of 2,500 euros in training materials was awarded at the Job Fair organized by Next Job, an event attended by more than 60 leading companies in various sectors, where direct networking opportunities abound, offering an invaluable opportunity to future professionals.

We are delighted with the response we have received for this second edition of the Next Job Hackathon,” commented Francisco Ubierna, Academic Dean of the University. “The commitment and creativity demonstrated by the students has been truly inspiring, and we are confident that these experiences will provide them with a solid foundation for their future professional careers.”

CIS University would like to express its sincere thanks to all the organizers, collaborating companies and participants for contributing to the success of this event.
