ENTREPRENEURSHIP COURSE BUS 300 (3 credits)

Introduction/Objectives / Learning Outcomes
You will:
- Know how to start your entrepreneurial adventure, from finding an idea, to marketing it in the marketplace, to raising capital for your project.
- Learn the entrepreneurial skills and mindset needed to start your business.
- Learn from successful entrepreneurs gaining an international experience.
- Have a robust idea of what it means to be an entrepreneur
- Identify the critical success factors to launch a new idea, product or service
- Develop the language required to compete in today’s start-up world
- Build a contemporary business plan that is “business-plan competition” viable
- Leverage your leadership skills appropriately in any organization
- Build/expand an professional network
Targeted to
Bachelor students interested in discovering entrepreneurship having or not a business project; students from all disciplines can participate.
The Academic Program Includes
- Field trips for practical and hands-on experiences.
- Speakers from different institutions, university faculty and entrepreneurs.
- Visits to entrepreneurship centers.
- Visits to business institutions.
- Social events and activities.
- Students will be accompanied by Prof. Francisco Ubierna, Ph.D.
Conferences Workshops
- How to draw up a good plan – CANVAS model.
- How to identify an opportunity and evaluate an idea.
- Business models to develop your idea.
- How to sell your idea. High impact presentations. How to speak to investors: Elevator Pitch.
- How to finance your idea, raising capital for your project: business angels, crowdfunding, banks
- How to market your product/service.
Academic Activities and Visits
Different activities are scheduled, among them, we include activities and lectures such as (
- Spain – US Chamber of Commerce in Miami
- Start-up companies
- Spanish companies in the USA
- Miami Fashion Week
- Law firm
- Good and services companies
- Communication and marketing
- Hospitality
- Finance companies
- Miami City Hall
Social Activities and Tourism
- Visit to The Everglades
- Spanish Culture Center in Miami

Course Fee
2.275 euros
Fees include the following:
- Course activities: class, conferences, visits to firms.
- Social activity: visit to the Everglades
- Transportation in Miami during academic activities and visit to Everglades
- Double room, breakfast and lunch
- Health and accidental Insurance

Informative meeting: March, 2021
Deadline for applications and payment: April, 10th , 2019 (1,000 €) This mount will not be reimburse in case of cancellation by the student.
Final payment: May, 2021 From June 23rd to July, 2nd, 2021
