CIS University has been invited by Boston University to participate in the Susilo Institute Business and Ethics Case Competition, an international competition in which students from more than 20 universities from 5 different regions in the world will work in teams to solve real business and ethical problems.
A total of 10 students from CIS University (2 teams of 5 students) will participate in this highly competitive contest designed for undergraduate and graduate students in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
The purpose of this competition is for students to apply what they are learning in the classroom and in their internships. Students must work in teams and complete different case studies to learn how companies work in the international arena, while making decisions on real companies’ situations.
The competition focuses on international business concepts around existing companies and live clients, and provides a forum for students and executives around the world to discuss, debate, and analyze the merits of international business and its intersection with ethics.
In the first phase of the competition, students will present a 2-page write-up and a 15-minute PowerPoint over Zoom in front of a live judge. The second phase, which will also consist of a case study, will be held in December. After that, the 5 regional winning teams will travel to Singapore, in June 2024 to compete at the finals. Boston University will provide a subsidy of $10,000 for each of the competing teams to offset travel expenses.
Best of luck to our CIS University students!
