It has been said that homesickness is retracing your steps to remember some of the best moments in life, so CIS University recently organized an emotional reunion with the alumni of the 1984-1995 class. At this emotive meeting, which brought together former students of the institution, the academic dean, Francisco Ubierna, welcomed the alumni and shared with them the achievements and progress the university has experienced over the years.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from Francisco and some of the staff, who highlighted the importance of keeping the bond with the alumni alive and the ongoing relationship between them and the university. The day included a presentation on the growth of CIS University until 2025, and the plans and institutional vision that will guide the university in the coming years were presented.
Throughout the groundbreaking, attendees were able to enjoy a tour of the university’s past years, recalling the most notable milestones, from academics to the growth and expansion of the educational offering. During this tour, alumni were amazed to see the new facilities and classrooms that have been added to those they knew. Alumni also had the opportunity to relive special moments through a photo exhibition that documented the passage of time and the legacy of CIS University.
The meeting spotted the relationship between alumni and the university, highlighting the importance of community and mutual collaboration in the personal and professional development of graduates. To close the evening, attendees enjoyed a glass of wine, a relaxed moment to catch up after so much time, and a photo session to remember this emotional reunion.
This event was a special occasion to strengthen the ties between the university and its alumni, celebrating the past, present, and future of CIS University.
“For me, it is very gratifying to see alumni return to CIS University and see how they have developed their careers. I feel that each one of them carries a little piece of this institution with them,” explained an excited Kiri Díaz de la Cebosa, director of the internship and alumni department.
We look forward to seeing the next generation of students visiting their “alma mater”, CIS University!
