This year’s highly-anticipated “Rastrillo 305” benefit celebration, organized by one of our own non-profit organizations, the International Studies Foundation (ISF) with M&L Events and Club Expats, will take place on November 4th, 2023.
This year the Rastrillo 305 promises to be the perfect setting for a memorable evening with friends and family, where you can enjoy live musical performances, explore the many stands in the market, and immerse yourself while on a culinary journey with delicacies from numerous local restaurants.
The event will include performances from international recording artist Carlos Baute, Spanish singer Juan Peña, and emerging groups Orbit and Reset Music Band, as well as DJ “G-ON!,” who will undoubtedly inspire everyone in attendance to dance.
While this fun and entertaining event will surely be great fun for all, it is important to remain aware that all funds raised will go toward the community and social projects created and maintained by the International Studies Foundation (ISF) in the United States and Spain.
May we never forget the deep core values and commitment to social responsibility that are the very backbone of our university. ISF has been hard at work with various social programs profoundly rooted in the community for the past seven years, including:
- ”Soccer With Values”, this project is done in collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation that provides free soccer classes to children at risk of social exclusion in Miami.
- The Go American English! program, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, offers 100% micro-scholarships for English language training to students in Spain.
- The “Camino de Santiago” program, which rewards high-performing students in challenging socio-economic situations from Miami Dade College, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and the Go American English! program with a trip to Spain to do this historic pilgrimage. Additionally, this initiative is supported by the City of Miami, the Spanish Consulate in Miami, and the American Embassy of Spain.
In the words of María Díaz de la Cebosa, president of CIS University, “The International Studies Foundation has been promoting, together with other partners, various projects that are eternally committed to improving education as the backbone of social development, and that are fully dedicated to improving things for everyone.”
