CIS University welcomed and introduced the new members of the Elite Soccer University Program (ESUP) for the 2024/2025 season.
What is the ESUP Program?
At CIS University we are well aware of the great effort involved in playing a sport while pursuing university studies, which is why we offer two High-Performance Sports Programs that allow our students to pursue their passion for sports without sacrificing superlative academic training. ESUP, in particular, is designed specifically for soccer players from around the world and helps them to combine soccer training with their higher education studies.
Each season, the team includes players of various nationalities, reinforcing our commitment to diversity and the global development of sports talent. This year’s ESUP is made up of students from Jordan, Honduras, the US, Switzerland, Malaysia, and Spain.
Day one began with a series of technical exercises designed to assess the physical condition of players after the summer break and to foster camaraderie among them, which is commonly referred to in soccer as “team bonding.”
Coaches Carlos Montero and Carlos del Rey, known as “the Carlos’s,” offered key tips during the training, focusing on technical and tactical development, while working with the group to create bonds and strengthen team cohesion for the new season ahead.
Alex Diaz, president of our sports partner P.A.Team, gave a warm welcome to the players, expressing his satisfaction for having such a diverse and talented group, all while offering his support toward anything they might need during their stay in Madrid.
