The students were from many different nationalities and taught each other Spanish, English, French, Arabic, German, Chinese, Hebrew, Italian, and Swedish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to professor <\/span><b>Alex Feldman,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> one of the professors in charge of this year&#8217;s language exchange program, the number of students for Fall 24 has more than doubled in size from last semester. \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Numerically, it&#8217;s the most successful semester for the Language Exchange Program,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d according to Feldman.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>The Language Exchange Program<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a great way for students to meet new people and learn a new language. <\/span><b>CIS University<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offers it to create stronger bonds between local and international students while offering a cross-cultural experience. The students who sign up for this program pick a language they want to learn, or perfect. Then, the professors in charge, professors Alex Feldman and <\/span><b>Tracy Wood<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pair the students according to the language they want to learn.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>Malena Marks,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> one of the students involved in the language exchange program, explained that the reason for her joining this program is because she wants to perfect her Spanish. Malena has lived in the United States for her entire life and wants to improve her Spanish since she now lives in Madrid. \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The language exchange program is a great way to learn the language, but also to meet new people and make new friends<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d said Malena.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Language Exchange Program is also favorable for students in many other ways because it benefits their academic excellence and performance. If the students in this program meet for five hours, they will earn a 5% final-grade increase for their language and writing courses.
