Documentation: What you need to be prepared 

If you decide to apply for an internship in Madrid, these are the documents you will need:

  • EU citizens:

If you are an EU citizen you will not need a Visa to come to Madrid. All you will need is a NIE number (número de identificación de extranjeros) and a social security number. 

  • Non-EU citizens:

If you are not an EU citizen you may need to obtain a Visa before coming to Madrid. Also, you will need to get an NIE and a social security number.

Later on, during the second year internships are part of the academic program, and students will receive credit for them in addition to invaluable international work experience.  

Our internships are available to all of our study abroad students, regardless of whether they are with us for just a semester or longer. In order to take advantage of CIS internships you need to have a basic Spanish level. This way it would be easier for you to take the courses.

Also, please have in mind that during your 4th year as a CIS Endicott student you need to take some semester-long internships as part of your academic program.
