CIS University and the Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón have signed a collaboration agreement designed to strengthen the ties between university-level academic study and high-performance sports.
The main objective of this agreement is to promote academic study by way of activities and course offerings that could be of interest for the integrated training of athletes, as well as to facilitate the transition of players belonging to the Alcorcón Sporting Group into the labor market.
Both institutions aim to contribute to initiatives resulting in the personal and academic advancement of athletes, thereby allowing for the compatibility of study while competing in their sport.
The agreement was officially signed on December 16, 2021 at the main offices of the Alcorcon Sporting Group, with the participation of Alfonso Barral, Business Development Director of CIS University, and Mr. Ignacio Álvarez, General Manager of the Alcorcon Sporting Group.
This agreement is yet another step forward in terms of CIS University’s commitment to making American university education more accessible for high-performance athletes, and in permitting hundreds of young people to combine their passion for their sport with their studies through deep dedication to the development of talent and the training of future leaders.
