The Elite Basketball University Program provides a unique, dynamic pathway to achieving success as a high performance hooper and dedicated student-athlete. The program enables CIS University students to work towards their American degree while training and competing in a professional-like environment.
After your first two years with us, you will achieve:
Education: A North American university degree (Associate degree), experience in the professional world and a strong network of contacts in Madrid and around the world.
Basketball: A significant improvement of individual basketball skills and team-oriented decision making through our unique development programs based on the distinguished Spanish playing style and training methodology, international competitive experience on your playing resume and a wide range of possibilities for opportunities at a higher level in Europe or at athletic scholarships in the USA and around the world.
After the first two years of university life and balling out in Madrid, you can choose to continue your studies for two more years to obtain a Bachelor’s degree from CIS University or any other American university in the world.
The program includes personalized services and a team of professionals who will accompany you daily.

METHODOLOGY
The main mission of our program is to improve the individual and team performance of our players through a unique methodology, based on the characteristic style of Spanish basketball that has enabled it to claim the title of FIBA World Cup Champions. It is a deeply tactical game that emphasizes unselfish ball movement to create high-percentage scoring opportunities, defensive flexibility and pressure, high basketball-IQ, fast transitional play, and mental toughness for clutch performances under pressure. Professionals like Pau and Marc Gasol and Ricky Rubio have set the standard for experienced leadership and a strong national youth pipeline for upcoming talent.
This training methodology is developed to comprehensively address each unique characteristic of a player’s influence on the court. We employ position-specific training plans to adapt and evolve along with players’ movements, tempo, and playmaking skill in intense, game-like environments.
This all-encompassing program design is made possible by weekly high-performance training sessions led by professional coaches. These sessions are complemented by our team placement program. Our hoopers have options to be placed on a wide variety of teams where they can develop and build their basketball career within the competitive Spanish basketball pyramid.

EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS
The program includes continuous analysis and evaluation by the different specialists and technical staff who will be monitoring and observing the student athlete through analysis of competition data and in-game performance.
This analysis will provide us with knowledge of the development and improvement of each player while also being a key tool for planning training programs.
COMPETITION
Participating students will take part in official federation competitions and matches, playing weekly against other teams in the Community of Madrid.
The Madrid Basketball Federation (FBM), is the institution in charge of all the basketball modalities and divisions in the Community of Madrid.
