We all met there at 19:30 for pictures. The ceremony started at 20:00 with the traditional procession of graduates and faculty, led by a Bagpiper. Maria Diaz de la Cebosa, President of CIS, Richard Pacheco, Endicott College Dean in Spain, Alejandra Lopez, representing the graduates, Johnny Novella, CIS alumnus, Santiago Lopez, chosen by the Graduates to receive the Best Teacher Award and Guest Speaker Fernando Fontana, all took their turn at the dais to address those present.
This year, a Special Mention was awarded to a very important person at CIS, Mary McCarthy, CIS Dean of Students, for her outstanding dedication and long trajectory at our institution.
After the formal ceremony, a cocktail was served in the gardens of the museum. During this time, Lola Aznar and Anthony Verrecchio emceed the Student Oscar Ceremony, where those graduates chosen by their own peers were presented with a trophy. Alejandra Lopez was chosen as Best Student, Nicolas Calleja as Best Sportsperson, Ernesto Cortes as Best Buddy and Austin Brooks as the Funniest graduate.
It was a great night for Students, Family, CIS Staff and Faculty.
