Alberto Peralta is a leading consultant, educator and Customer Development evangelist who is helping to drive entrepreneurship in the Spanish-speaking business world.
Using the Customer Development methodology created by U.S. startup guru Steve Blank, Alberto is guiding startups in Spain and Latin America as they use Blank’s process – which launched the Lean Startup revolution — to optimize their chances for success.
A former assistant professor at the Universities of Alcalá and Politécnica (both in Spain) and IBMer, Alberto has logged more than 7,000 hours lecturing students, professionals and high-ranking corporate leaders on finance and sales. As a consultant he has led ERP projects as well asfinance-controlling initiatives within medium business and corporations.
In addition, he is one of the first Startup Weekend Next instructors in Madrid. Through Next, he works to guide startup teams through the Customer Development roadmap in intensive five-week sessions. He has also worked with more than 100 founders individually and in small groups.
In early 2013, Alberto translated Blank’s fast-selling The Startup Owner’s Manual, co-authored with serial entrepreneur Bob Dorf.
The Manual gives entrepreneurs an edge whether they are working in physical channels or web/mobile channels by teaching them how to scale their business ideas; how to get, keep and grow customers; and how to use metrics that matter to gauge their progress. The book is used by startups of all stripes and business school programs worldwide.
In 2016, Alberto started his mammoth PhD. Thesis project on sustainable business model innovation with the aim of comparing the conventional way of innovating a business with the Lean Startup way. He is close to end his project and is already participating in international events and conferences to present his work. He collaborates with some of the best teams in the World in this domain.
Having received his bachelor’s inBA degree from the University of Alcalá (Spain), Alberto completed a year transfer at the University of Maryland (USA) and an internship at the University of Hannover (Germany).
He develops analysis, and statements for courts and legal affairs.
